The Cruising Guides list here we have been using for many years. Steve Pavlidis has done a wonderful job with both the Bahamas and the Caribbean, his guides contain excellent sketch charts, loads of advice, a history of the islands as well as their flora and fauna.
The cruising guides by Chris Doyle from the Virgins to Grenada have been standby guides for cruisers and charters alike for many years. Up to date with lots of relevant information on each of the islands. Doyle’s Leeward Island Guide is in two volumes, the Northern Leewards Guide covers Anguilla to Monserrat and the Southern Leewards Guide covers Barbuda to Dominica. The Windward Island Guide covers Martinique to Grenada.
I have also listed an Intercoastal Waterway Guide, by Bob and Ann Sherer it is updated each summer after their spring trip north on the ICW. It lists 120 hazardous areas and how to safely navigate them along with the marinas they find convenient for a days travel. There are many other ICW guides available, to many to list here. My suggestion is to look up the selections available at West Marine or on-line at Blue Water Charts and Books in Fort Lauderdale.
