I have been slowly making progress removing the teak decking, slowly more because I haven’t had the time with the holidays to really get into it, but progress non the less has happened.
The foredeck is now clear of teak, it has been given an initial sanding with 60 grit on a random orbit sander and the fastener holes have all been filled using 3M Premium Filler. Next will be fairing in the compound used to fill the fastener holes, grinding the glass around the old windlass, then glassing over the holes before applying new glass to the deck.
We have also been working on fitting the new teak decking the cockpit locker lids. The three of them have all had the teak fitted, next some cosmetic work on the lids then sand and prime for painting.
